The jack DID come up that morning at Welches and so we were off for 5 days up at Silver Cove RV on Silver Lake, WA. It truly is one of our favorite places to camp, and we were able to get our favorite spot again...looking west toward the lake. We really spent some quiet days, just enjoying being out and the quiet and peacefulness of the area. I did take a few hours one day to drive to "nearby" Ryderwood, WA to visit my Aunt and cousins. It was a very nice visit. Then, on Thursday, my sister Susan surprised me with a Birthday visit!! She brought us wonderful steaks and a cake. What a great day...thanks, Susan!!! Saturday morning we brought the slides in early...so we could see if the jack would come up...and it DID!! Got all the things done and were on our way home by 10:30 am...and the traffic was very light all the way home. Our house sitters were getting ready to catch their flight back home to Tasmania and we thanked them so much for being here so we could make our summer of travel happen. Yes, it wasn't what we planned, but any trip out in Sweet Baby is still a joy to us. Now we are home in Portland, thinking about what our trip(s) should be next year...once the jack is fixed!!!
